JASMINE AIYANA GARVIN she/her (Red Knight) is excited to play “Red Knight” in Sunken Cathedral. Originally from Poughkeepsie, New York, Jasmine has been a huge advocate for arts education and awareness in regional and local companies across the greater Hudson Valley. Jasmine is a 2021 graduate from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in Musical Theatre which led her to become a recipient of the 2021 Warner Bros. Top 10 Actors in Training casting initiative. Theatre Credits: Winner (New York Theatre Barn), and The Return of Young Boy (New York Stage and Film). Television: Poker Face (Ep 7, Katy Owens).

NICK BARAKOS he/him (Feat. Ensemble): Nick is stoked to be a part of this story! New York Theatre: Matt in The Fantasticks (East Village Playhouse), Su in Poupelle of Chimney Town (Signature Theatre), The Imbible (New World Stages), Otto in The Joe Hill Revival (The Triad). Favorite regional roles include Adam in An American in Paris, Mark in Rent, Davey in Newsies. Nick is also a co-founder of The Seed Collective, a New York-based film group, and has received over 11 awards and accolades for their latest project, Spin. B.A. from Wagner College.

MICHELLE FEZA KUCHUK she/her (Director) is a Turkish and American theatermaker specializing in stories that explore identity, mental health, and social justice. She is particularly interested in theater as a vehicle for change – both in the stories that are told, and, as a way to promote sustainable and ethical workplaces behind the scenes. Select directing and assistant directing credits include: Sons of the Prophet (Roundabout Theatre Company), Beautiful Thing (Nicu’s Spoon Theater), and Equity, A Comedy in Elizabethan Verse (Theatre Row). As a writer, Michelle has had her work optioned, produced, and published. In mental health and suicide prevention, Michelle has impacted national training standards, and has spoken to thousands of people anonymously on multiple crisis lines. As a director, dramaturg, and producer, Michelle especially loves developing world premieres of new works.

PATRICK B. PHILLIPS  he/him (Music Director/Conductor) is a NYC–based music director, arranger, and orchestrator specializing in the collaborative cultivation of new musical theatre from inception to the stage. Described as energetic with a fervent attention to detail, Patrick is particularly interested in the possibilities of intersectionality in musical theatre in regards to social justice, race, sexuality, and identity. He is proudly a son of immigrants from the Philippines and Barbados and is a member of the LGBTQ+ community. CHASE URAM he/him (Composer) is a New York City–based composer and musician. Originating from Butler, Pennsylvania, he moved to New York City with a drive to tell original, under-appreciated, and impactful stories. He worked as a musical director and dance accompanist in Pittsburgh and at Slippery Rock University. Chase has also worked as the Musical Direction Assistant for two of the Pittsburgh CLO’s summer seasons. Chase received his M.A. in Writing and Design for Musical Theatre from BerkleeNYC where he started Sunken Cathedral with Taylor. Performances of Sunken Cathedral include New York Theatre Barn’s New Work Series and BerkleeNYC’s “Steppin’ Out” at 54 Below.

TAYLOR FAGINS he/him (Book Writer/Lyricist) is a New York–based writer whose most recent titles include LIVING: A Now Musical, A Song., and I’M NOT A RACIST!. His collaborative works include Franklin (composer), Fantasy: A D&D Musical (composer/lyricist), and Sunken Cathedral. His award-winning single “we need more.” led to his television debut on the 20th anniversary season of American Idol in 2022. Since then, he has received his M.A. in Writing and Design for Musical Theatre from BerkleeNYC and plans to use his degree to create new and innovative work. Taylor’s greatest goal is to tell the stories that are unheard and uplift the voices of those who feel unseen. MO YEH they/them (Orchestrator) – Mo is an orchestrator, arranger, copyist, and app developer with a passion for queer and Asian-American musical theatre. Their current projects include Eli Cohen’s new musical, The Chosen One, and their thesis musical, Cicada 3301. Professionally, they have worked on music teams at the Paper Mill Playhouse, New York Stage and Film, Timber Lake Playhouse, the Polyphone Festival of New and Emerging Musicals, and the Chicago Musical Theatre Festival. JOSH LIEBERT he/him (Sound Designer): is NYC–based and his work has been heard across North America, Europe, and Asia. He recently designed the world premieres of Maggie, a New Musical in Canada and The Jerusalem Syndrome for the York Theatre Company. Regionally, he’s designed six productions at the Tuacahn Center for the Arts including The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tarzan, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
